Statement of Faith

We affirm the following fundamental truths of the Christian faith:

1. The Holy Scriptures

We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the divinely inspired Word of God and the supreme and final written authority for our faith, doctrine, conduct, worship, and ministry. All teachings, prophecies, revelations, traditions, and spiritual experiences must be tested by Scripture.

2. The One True God and the Trinity

We believe in one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God; yet there is one God. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and sovereign Ruler of all things.

3. The Lord Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, present intercession, and personal return. He is the only Savior, the Head of the Church, and Lord of all.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is fully divine and personally active in the world and the Church. He convicts of sin, brings about regeneration, indwells and sanctifies believers, reveals Christ, guides into truth, produces spiritual fruit, distributes spiritual gifts, and empowers believers for life and ministry.

5. Creation and Humanity

We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and intentionally created humanity male and female in His image. Every human being therefore possesses God-given dignity and value and was created to know God, glorify Him, live under His authority, and fulfill His purposes.

6. The Fall and Sinfulness of Humanity

We believe that humanity fell into sin through disobedience to God and that all people are sinners in need of salvation. No person can be reconciled to God through morality, religion, good works, ceremonies, or human effort.

7. Salvation Through Jesus Christ

We believe that salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead. The biblical response to the gospel is repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, through whom we receive forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, adoption, and eternal life.

8. Regeneration and the New Birth

We believe that regeneration, or being born again, is necessary for entrance into God’s kingdom. The new birth is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit by which the repentant and believing sinner receives new spiritual life and becomes a new creation in Christ.

9. Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is an ordinance commanded by Jesus Christ for those who have repented and believed in Him. It testifies to the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection and the believer’s new life in Christ.

10. The Lord’s Supper

We believe that the Lord’s Supper is an ordinance instituted by Jesus Christ through which believers remember and proclaim His sacrificial death, examine themselves, express fellowship with Christ and His Body, and anticipate His return.

11. Foot Washing

We believe that foot washing is a biblical Christian practice taught and exemplified by Jesus Christ as an expression of humility, servant-hearted love, mutual care, and service to one another.

12. Baptism in the Holy Spirit and Initial Evidence

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a distinct experience available to believers subsequent to regeneration, providing spiritual empowerment for witness and service. We believe that speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance is the initial physical evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

13. Sanctification and Christian Living

We believe that every Christian is called to holiness, obedience, spiritual growth, and increasing conformity to Jesus Christ. Believers are to walk in the Spirit and bring every area of life under Christ’s Lordship. Christians should respect legitimate civil authority while recognizing that obedience to God takes precedence when human authority contradicts God’s commands.

14. Perseverance in Faith and the Possibility of Apostasy

We believe that believers must abide in Christ, continue in faith, and persevere to the end, depending upon God’s preserving grace. Scripture warns of the real possibility of deliberately and finally abandoning faith in Christ, while also offering forgiveness and restoration to those who repent after falling into sin.

15. The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, consisting of all who have been regenerated through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is its supreme Head. Believers should participate faithfully in a local church for worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, accountability, evangelism, and missions. We affirm biblical church discipline exercised with the goal of correction and restoration.

16. Church Ministry, Leadership, and Government

We believe that Christ continues to give apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip and govern His Church under His Lordship. We affirm the continuing apostolic ministry both as a ministry gift and governmental function and recognize elders, deacons, deaconesses, and other biblically appointed leaders. All church authority remains subject to Jesus Christ and the written Word of God.

17. Spiritual Gifts and Their Operation

We believe that the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit continue to operate in the Church today. The Holy Spirit distributes gifts according to His will for God’s glory, the edification of the Church, and effective ministry. All spiritual gifts must operate according to Scripture, in love, humility, discernment, and proper order.

18. Divine Healing

We believe that God continues to heal today and that the Church should pray in faith for the sick, including through laying on of hands and anointing with oil. Healing remains subject to God’s sovereign wisdom and will, and failure to receive healing should not automatically be attributed to a lack of faith.

19. Prayer and Worship

We believe that God alone is worthy of worship and that believers should worship Him in spirit and truth. Prayer is communion and fellowship with God through Jesus Christ. We affirm personal and corporate prayer, Spirit-led prayer, intercession, prayer of faith, and praying in tongues.

20. Satan, Demonic Powers, and Spiritual Warfare

We believe in the reality of Satan, demonic powers, and spiritual warfare. Jesus Christ has triumphed over the powers of darkness, and believers are called to stand in His victory, resist the devil, and exercise their authority in Christ. We affirm biblical deliverance ministry while recognizing that not every difficulty or sickness is necessarily caused by demonic activity.

21. Christian Stewardship, Tithing, and Giving

We believe that everything ultimately belongs to God and that believers are stewards of what He entrusts to them. Christian giving should be willing, disciplined, regular, proportionate, generous, cheerful, and sacrificial when necessary. We recognize tithing as a biblical and disciplined approach to giving, not as a compulsory legal requirement. Giving must never be manipulated or used as a means of purchasing God’s favor or spiritual blessings.

22. Marriage, Family, and Human Sexuality

We believe that God created humanity male and female and established marriage as a covenantal union between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy belongs within marriage. We affirm biblical family life, parental responsibility, sexual purity, and the God-given dignity of every person, whom Christians are called to treat with truth, compassion, respect, and love.

23. The Mission of the Church

We believe that Jesus Christ commissioned His Church to make disciples among all nations. Every believer is called to participate in proclaiming the gospel, discipling believers, serving others, and advancing Christ’s mission. Our ministry strategy is:

24. The Second Coming and Millennial Reign of Christ

We believe in the personal, visible, bodily, and glorious return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection and gathering of believers to Him, and the blessed hope of His coming. We believe in the future millennial reign of Christ upon the earth and call believers to live in holiness, readiness, faithfulness, and expectation.

25. Resurrection, Final Judgment, and Eternal Destiny

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead and final judgment. Those who belong to Christ will enjoy eternal life in God’s presence, while those who finally reject God’s salvation will face eternal judgment in the lake of fire. Believers will appear before the judgment seat of Christ concerning their stewardship and reward. We believe in Satan’s final defeat and in the new heavens and new earth, where God’s redeemed people will dwell with Him forever.

Our Concluding Affirmation

We affirm the Bible as our supreme and final written authority; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the one true God; Jesus Christ as the only Savior and Lord; salvation by grace through faith; the necessity of the new birth; holy Christian living; the baptism, gifts, and continuing work of the Holy Spirit; the Church as the Body of Christ; and the personal return and eternal reign of Jesus Christ.

We exist to glorify God by fulfilling His purposes through Jesus Christ.

Our mission is making disciples of Jesus Christ among all nations.

We relentlessly present Jesus Christ as Savior of the world and teach those who believe to live under His Lordship.
